It has been confirmed that the new Verdana Village development coming to Estero in 2021 from Cameratta Companies will feature two builders: Lennar and Pulte Homes. Cameratta seems to be following a similar formula to The Place at Corkscrew, their wildly successful nearby development expected to be finished in the next year or two. Homes are expected to be similar to current pricing in The Place and at least some of the models will be the same or similar. Pulte vs. Lennar – Who is the better builder?
Many people ask us who is better – Lennar or Pulte. We are also commonly asked about the differences between these two builders. Well, because they are both long-standing and popular home builders, many people are at least a little familiar with Pulte and Lennar and if you ask around you will get some strong opinions. The bottom line in our opinion is that neither is better or worse… they are just different. The biggest difference is that they have dramatically different approaches to pricing and home packages. For example, with Lennar you choose a home series and what you see is what you get. There are few upgrades available within a series. For example, if you want taller ceilings, move to a series that has them. If you want wider baseboards, do the same. For customers that want to see what they will be getting ahead of time, without the concern of paying for upgrades that can suddenly add up, Lennar might be your best choice. However, if you see a floorplan you like but you want to customize it with quartz countertops, or cabinet upgrades, or extra lighting, or anything extra special, Pulte will need to be your builder. Pulte allows every model to have many levels of upgrades in countless areas.
