After several delays, it looks like the construction of the fabulous amenities at Verdana Village are really taking shape! Check out this progress report as of November 2022. The outdoor tennis and pickleball courts are already complete and the on-site Director of Racquet Sports, Pat Glaunert, is already running lessons. The courts are in outstanding shape and there is even a ball machine court for tennis players. But when will the rest of the amenities be completed? Here’s an update!
Verdana Village Amenities Update
We’re told the pool and restaurant will be completed this spring or summer, depending on who you ask. Remember, the amenities have already been delayed a year due to material and labor shortages, but it’s nice to see things are moving along! The indoor sports complex has been erected and the exterior is nearly finished. This weekend I noticed that they have the stucco painted. Why is this so exciting? Verdana Village will be the ONLY gated community in Southwest Florida with INDOOR tennis, pickleball, and basketball (at least for now)! Many of our buyers moved into Verdana Village mainly because of this and the other fabulous amenities!
Along with the tennis, pickleball and basketball courts, the indoor sports complex will also have a cafe, racquet pro shop, locker rooms, movement studio, party room, and state-of-the-art fitness center.
Behind the amenity center, it’s equally exciting to report that the resort-style pool is well under construction! The land has been prepped and the pool shell has been poured! This pool will be magnificent! It will feature 8,700+ square feet of crystal blue warm water with multiple zero-depth beach entries, large sun shelves, cabanas, and several daybeds! There will be trees planted throughout for some shade and a humongous spa/hot tub for residents! The pool is adjacent to where the restaurant, pool bar and beer craft lounge will be located as well. Verdana Village will have FIVE STAR amenities, all for HOA fees that range from $340 – $360 per month (paid quarterly).

We’ve already seen home prices go up over $100k and the same homes across the street in The Place at Corkscrew sell for much more since the amenities and construction are complete.
